SMALL GROUP CLASSES
FALL 2024
I offer small group classes online via The Pack, a delightful improv theater in Los Angeles.
Intro to VO This foundational class is a hands-on, deeply practical approach to adding voiceover to your performance career. Alternating between comedic commercial and animation copy, you will work on mic to discover and fine tune what you uniquely bring to a script. You’ll learn exactly what info you need from a spec for commercial, and how to bring what you already do on stage to a cartoon script. We’ll also discuss the business, how it’s changed, what to avoid, and how to get your career off the ground. Class meets via Zoom. Home studios welcome but not required.
Animation Animation Animation! When you get a cartoon audition, do you know what to do to make it stand out among hundreds of other submissions?
This class will focus on just that. Working on solo copy as well as scenes with partner(s), you’ll work to sharpen your character voices and audition choices and get your subsmissions to the top of the pile.
Requirements: Pack Intro to VO, previous coaching with Robin Reed, or be repped and/or actively auditioning for VO

COMMERCIAL VO WORKSHOP WITH MARK SWEENEY
Back by popular demand, industry powerhouse Mark Sweeney will join us again for this one-night only commercial VO workshop.
Mark has worked in just about every aspect of our industry, from award-winning commercial voice casting to recording some of the most recognizable voices in the world.
He recently worked in commercial voice casting at the very busy Sound & Fury Casting. We met when he was the booth director at Innovative Artists, where I learned SO MUCH from him.
Mark is a real actor’s director— he knows the language of VO and how to make it make sense. He’s also got incredible insights into how to read for commercial VO.
You’ll read, Mark will direct. Most likely, lightbulbs will turn on and you’ll walk away with more tools for streamlining your self-directed commercial voiceover auditions.
To ensure everyone gets a good amount of 1-1 time, this session is limited to ten participants.
